Quantum Research International, Inc (Quantum) has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineering Lead supporting the F/A-18 Program.   This position will provide structural engineering technical support for fixed wing aircraft repair modifications and maintenance programs including the Planned Maintenance Intervals, High Flight Hour (HFH) programs, Special Rework, In-Service Repairs, Service Life Management Program. Areas of expertise include Structures Engineering Stress Analysis, Structures Design and Solid Modeling, and Advanced Composite Design and Analysis.



Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Perform engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. Recommend battle command, mission command, and network integration hardware and software changes needed to stay compatible with fielded tactical systems and provide appropriate Systems of Systems (SoS) environments
  • Provide direct software development and documentation support for new and existing systems, data processing systems, data visualization systems, communication systems, network systems, data collection systems, and IT support systems.



  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Science
  • Experience with SLAPGEN/FEMGEN and Lifeworks Software
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to Naval systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering.
  • Experience with fixed wing military fighter aircraft desired but not required.
  • US Citizenship is required and Secret security Clearance
  • Travel in the US and to Japan may be required
