Quantum Research is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Technology Scout, Senior (BI/TS) to provide Technology Scouting in support of the US Space Force, Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). The Technology Scout will support execution of all Technology Scouting related activities. This person will apply an understanding of emerging technology to perform complex technology and/or market research to answer specific research questions. Support internal/external outreach engagements as well as report development and graphic visualization. Conduct detailed and targeted research using complex data sets and summarize and explain complex ideas (e.g., quantum computing) to non-technical audiences.



Collects, analyzes, and captures relevant technical and business opportunities, on behalf of the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) GC3 Program Office to include reviewing on-line materials, reviewing trade publications, and attending appropriate industry forums, as approved by the Government; Maintain a repository, available to the Government of BI/TS activities and participate in GC3 meetings, working groups, forums, and other engagements, as requested by the Program Office; provide minutes, notes, or other materials in support of meeting located in Colorado Springs, CO.

  • Develop, implement, and assess specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 30% of the time



  • Bachelor's Degree, required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with DoD Space Systems
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale systems, system integration, and end-to-end system performance assessment and optimization
  • Experience with information management tools
  • Experience with analyzing and evaluating information for assessments of developments, trends, and threat implications and measures of performance and measures of effectiveness
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Research and reporting experience
  • Data Analysis
  • Intel knowledge/experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience with implementing Military Space technologies
  • Ability to construct concise briefings, point papers, and executive-level updates to senior leaders
  • Ability to perform independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise initiative in gathering, assembling, collating, and analyzing information for completion of deliverables
  • Detailed knowledge and experience managing cost, schedule, performance, personnel, and risks in a project
  • Experience with technology scouting approaches and tools
  • Ability to constructively engage a broad set of clients to understand their requirements and mission objectives
  • Ability to translate complex technology topics and capabilities into plain language
  • Ability to view processes and activities with a strategic lens and experience with process improvement is desirable
  • Program management certification is desired
  • MA or MS degree
