 Mission:

Quantum Research is currently seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a Senior System Administrator with a TS/SCI.

 Responsibilities:

This work will occur inside of a SCIF and the ideal candidate will support installation, configuration, and provide advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft and Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS). The candidate is required to engineer Enterprise Level End User Services that encompass the entire Service Delivery Cycle / Life Cycle of engineering the service (requirements documentation, process development, installation, customer acceptance, production service maintenance, ongoing technology refresh, and service termination). The candidate will perform IA and IT support to systems and subsystems as well as logistics support. The work performed shall include systems administration, maintenance and technical support for LAN, WAN, and advanced networks and CDS. The candidate will analyze existing IT and IS databases, web sites, and IT applications; and recommend new or improved interfaces and improved management tools that meet new management requirements, or improve management effectiveness and efficiency. The candidate will perform IA services, to include intrusion detection and protection systems, key management, vulnerability analysis and assessment, multi-level security solutions, accreditation and certification of classified networks, and cross-domain solutions. This effort will require the manual implementation of DISA STIGs on mission critical systems; to manage and operate an IT infrastructure to include Virtual Servers, Virtual Desktops (VDI), Physical Servers, SAN/NAS devices. The candidate must have experience with VMware vSphere Suite of products; must understand Networking concepts such as vLAN tagging, subnetting, routing, link aggregates, LACP, trunking, etc. While configuring network devices is not a primary responsibility, configuring virtual networks and devices that leverage specific network technologies is required. The virtual environments consist of different versions of VMware technologies. The ability to coordinate with outside vendors for needs outside the normal scope of work may be required on a limited basis.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience. A degree with emphasis on Cyber Security is a plus, as are computing environment certifications (VMware, Linux, Windows OS).
  • Experience with software architecture, design, and testing
  • Experience with release management tools and techniques
  • Comprehensive understanding of Server Management 
  • Basic understanding of networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs
  • Windows domain architecture experience
  • Experience with VMware
  • Experience with RHEL
  • Knowledge of cyber defensive architecture and technologies to protect, detect and respond to cyber threats and attack
  • Technologies include SIEM, vulnerability assessment, discovery, infrastructure (firewall, IPS/IDS, proxy, network capture), host based security, penetration testing/external assessment tools, forensics, etc.

 

Desired: 

  • Experience with databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments. 
  • Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP or similar security certification
  • Windows AD, LDAP, and VMWare 
  • Windows Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
  • VMWare experience with current version
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)
  • Rudimentary Scripting
  • Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with Certification & Accreditation process
  • DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)

 

Current DoD Top SECRET / SCI clearance required to start.
