Mission:

Quantum Research is currently seeking a senior-level candidate to serve as a DevSecOps Engineer with a Top Secret Clearance to support the mission and objectives of US Space Force to support a long-term, cutting-edge program for one of the country's highest priority initiatives in Colorado Springs, CO. On this program you will have the opportunity to work with technical leaders in cyber, networking, computer science, and data analytics to develop the next generation of automated cyber defense platforms. Individuals in this role are responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining DevSecOps continuous test/integration/deployment and operational platforms. These capabilities are used to deploy large-scale cyber countermeasure capabilities to detect and prevent sophisticated threats and vulnerabilities on enterprise networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrates DevSecOps tools as part of an agile team to achieve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) applications.
  • Mentors junior developers and engineers.
  • Builds CI/CD solutions for large enterprises at an Individual Contributor level.
  • Provisions and manages cloud infrastructure through infrastructure as code implementations.
  • Provide expertise in integrating and administering Redhat OpenShift and other DevSecOps pipeline products
  • Provide expertise in system integration in an agile environment
  • Provide expertise in Continuous test/integration/deployment platforms
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, communications and provide troubleshooting & remediation
  • Lead a team of DevSecOps integration engineers to deliver DevSecOps solutions
  • The Senior DevSecOps Engineer adheres to standards, best practices, and internal processes and procedures, however, will also shape change, bringing both enhanced security and innovation to our systems. A "fail fast" approach is encouraged.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience of Redhat Linux administration, including system design, configuration, maintenance, upgrade and administration.
  • Experience of Redhat OpenShift engineering/administration
  • Experience of virtualization tools (VMWare, etc.)
  • Experience of scripting tools (Jenkins automation server, Ansible tools, Linux shell scripting, etc.)
  • Experience with GitLab/BitBucket/Github/Docker/Confluence, etc.
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure engineering and administration
  • Basic understanding of application Security practices like OWASP Top 10
  • 2 plus years of experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis, etc.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both open source licensed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software tools.
  • Excellent professional / interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to operate in a team environment consisting of both internal and external members, co-workers and customers
  • The ability to document and electronically store daily task information, architecture, processes, and user instructions
  • The ability to work independently

  • The ability to present briefings to clients

Desired Skills:

  • Strong experience of design, implementation and support of virtual networking, including routers, file servers, DNS, LDAP.
  • Cybersecurity expertise, including creating and adhering to customer IT Security requirements
  • Experience with AWS commercial or GovCloud design, implementation, and administration
  • Experience with high performance clusters in a scientific environment
  • Scripting experience with automating processes and deployments using tools such as scripting (bash, python, perl, etc.)

Clearance Level & Education Level

  • Top Secret clearance required. Candidate with active Top Secret or TS/SCI is highly desired.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years related industry experience or 15 years' experience without a degree.
